do i also need to remove the battery when wiping my phone? what do i do if it doesn't connect?

After many tries I could not get the loader to access my 8302 which needs the previous owners enterprise IT password removing. Is this a Java fault? If I load the bberry software suite it asks for the password I am trying to remove and I do not know. How does it know where to find the bberry on a Vista Ult. PC system?

Ah, the penny dropped. Brilliant. There was a second password of course, not the screen lock but the previous owners IT password. I downloaded the latest desktop software after the previous version would not access without a password. I then did the 10 incorrect entries, the phone reset and then I turned on your program and told it there was not password. Everything worked perfectly after that. It got rid of the IT permissions and I uploaded the latest OS to make sure everything was fine. Many thanks, a good workaround a stupid problem.

I didn't see what to do after downloading JL_Cmder. So I searched for another post and found a one about resetting the Storm2 to factory settings.

On WXP:
c:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\loader.exe /resettofactory.

That worked and I am happy.

I am trying to use JL_C to wipe my BB but not yet connecting

Hi folks,

I downloaded JL_Cmder and when I opened it and followed the steps to restore (with the 9780 connected to Desktop Manager), but when the red screen comes up and states "connected", it goes back to the black menu screen and the Desktop Manager opens up with a box stating it cannot comminucate with the device, and says to retry or download the latest software.

I've done that twice now, but the same thing keeps happening.

Any ideas?

JL_Cmder does not pick my 9530 up, what do I do?

I have use this before and have never had a problem, now that I have this laptop running (eyeroll) vista I can't get it to work even when I try running it as admin. been trying to wipe my storm and reload the os. i am getting " reload software 507 " any advise ?
