Default Blackberry Synchronisation with LOCAL Addressbook (Lotus Notes) - 11-18-2005, 04:42 PM

Hi everyone,

A common problem i face with the handhelds in my corporation is that they dont synchronise with the LOCAL addressbook (and other local databases) of the users, unless I do it by USB synchronisation from their laptops

Is there a way to do this automatically through the air?

Thanks in advance

It would be helpful next time to identify the versions involved in your environment....
I'll take a shot at your question without the benefit of any info.....
Domino/Lotus Notes R5: I don't believe wireless syncing is available for this version....regardless of the version of BES you're on.
Domino/Lotus Notes R6: Your users will have to be using the iNotes mail template to be able to wirelessly sync their local address book.
For other local databases: You can only sync what's contained in the BB modules. These are what you'll see in the PIM configuration section.

Thanks for your answer dev

We are using Lotus R6 and the addressbooks we have on server and the calendars (also kept on server) sync fine through the air.

I have BES 4.0.2. I 'll check the PIM configuration to see what I can do there.

Thanks again
