Default mail reconcilation problems

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
I have recently got a 7290, it is conected to an enterprise server and
I use Lotus Notes 6.5 on a business network. I receive and send emails
fine, deletions work both ways.
BUT if I read/open mails on either
the 7290 or my laptop the other unit does not reconcile.
So having opened all my mails when travelling, when getting back they
all appear to be unread and I have to start again, The company IT
wizard is stumped --- if anyone knows what can be wrong please let me
know, I think all settings are correct, but then I am not sure
Regards
Chris

This is a puzzling one if deletes are working but you could try the following:

1. Backup your BlackBerry
2. Open Desktop Manager > Backup & Restore > Advanced and clear the following databases: Folders, Folder ID, Messages and Purged Messages databases
3. Perform a WIRED reconcile [this will rebuild the folder structure]
4. Verify that reads/unreads/deletes all work through the wire
5. Test wirelessly

If that fails and you are on a BES 4.0, have your Admin remove and re add you to the sever, perform a security wipe on your handheld followed by Enterprise Activation.
