Recently, my BB Pearl 8120 malfunctioned somehow and I am not able to see my home screen anymore. On occasion, I will recieve the "App Error 523 - Reset" message and it reboots my phone.

I am still able to access my recent calls and place/receive calls. Also, I am able to access my phonebook and SMS messages indirectly through the recent calls option menu.

My intuition is that the OS is corrupted and I need to load the software on there again. My issue is that I'm not sure what OS I need to install as I can't access the "About" options from the main menu.

Any thoughts on how I can get the correct OS installed?

Use JLcmdr or Blackberry Swiss Army Knife to wipe/re-install the OS,
