Default Blackberry Device software on server - 09-25-2009, 09:40 AM

I am trying to set up an application push to devices, working from KB03748.

I do not want to share out the RIM folder on my BES, so I was going to install the Blackberry Device Software on another server (Win2k3, sp1).

During the install, I get this error:

Product: BlackBerry Desktop Software 5.0 -- Error 1305.Error reading from file <path to file>\BlackBerry Desktop Software.msi. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

I am logged in with an account in the local admin group, so it is not a permissions issue.

I believe the issue may be that W2k3 is not a supported OS for the device software.

Any suggestions?
Thanks
