Default HTML Email formats - 09-30-2009, 11:35 PM

Hello all - I have a quick question that I haven't been able to find the answer to... Blackberry device on a BES server, when replying to a HTML email - how much HTML coding is inserted?

When I compose a message that simply says "Hello World" with Outlook 2003 and do a view source:

Quote:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML><HEAD>
<META content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" http-equiv=Content-Type>
<META name=GENERATOR content="MSHTML 8.00.6001.18813"></HEAD>
<BODY>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial><SPAN class=031233203-01102009>Hello
World</SPAN></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial><SPAN
class=031233203-01102009></SPAN></FONT>&nbsp;</DIV></BODY></HTML>
What does the Blackberry editor insert as far as HTML code?

Thanks for all help.

JC

I don't think it inserts any HTML.

BlackBerry devices only compose email in plain text. No HTML code is inserted. You send the message from Outlook as an HTML message, when the device replies, it sends it back as plain text. This is probably where you're seeing the code come from.
