My friend has BB 8830 (aka World Edition) And i noticed his version of BBM wasn't updated to 5.0 so I said I would update his phone to latest version. Once I restarted the phone after installing 5.0 the icon disappeared. I'v been searching online for HRS because i can't get his BBM back .. and what I came to realize was that, his phones version was 4.2 (pretty sure 4.5 is the minimum requirement OS to get BBM 5.0?) So now i would like to jus put BBM 4.5 back on his phone but I can't find the OTA. Can someone plz help me by sending me an OTA link, or something?

Note: My friend does NOT have DM software so I can't do it that way.

Why not download DM to his computer

So i downloaded DM and tried to do it through the App loader .. and the only thing that comes up is Facebook (with a checked box) and its giving me the option that if i un-check the box it will uninstall the Facebook app .. thats it.

Seen this a bunch of times. Delete BBM from the apps (it should still be listed in apps) and then use the desktop apploader to reinstall... or just upgrade him to 4.5 (you will still need to delete the app) and put 5.0 on for them.

Actually , I believe that if you check BBM in the app loaded it will change the status to "Downgrade". That's if you have OS version 4.2 installed on the PC and have deleted the vendor.xml file.
