Default Help - No emails (BIS) and no Blackberry Browser - 10-16-2009, 09:51 AM

Blackberry Browser gone and no emails on BIS. ATT on Bold os 4.6.297

Can someone tell me why? I have not changed anything in terms of hardware or software since it has happened.

All of a sudden I stopped getting emails and my browser is gone.

Called ATT and spent hours with them and no luck - all the provisioning is fine on their end and when they try to send me the service books I never get them.

Funny thing is I can SEND emails ok but can't receive them.

When I try to connect on device to email settings app, I get an error saying unable to connect to server.

Any clues?

Did you do a battery pull?

That is the first step to take when something goes wrong.

Could you let us know what steps you've tried with AT&T to prevent us from asking you to do things you've already tried?

sure

1. ATT customer service found nothing out of place with BIS account
2. Transferred me to Tech Support - he did the usual "send service books", pulled battery and nothing. He checked the specific personal email accounts and they were indeed there.
3. He then transferred me to Blackberry "in house" support - She did the same exact thing as previous guy - same result - She told me to register network via Hosting table on device - message sent and received back confirmation that I was confirmed on network but alas no emails or blackberry browser.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Alright. Are you getting a capital EDGE or 3G? Have you tried deleting one of your accounts and re-adding it? I would request that AT&T removes the BIS feature from your account and then re-add it if all else fails.

Wirelessly posted

What I would do is back up your blackberry. Then do. A clean wipe of the bold and re-send the service books . Once that is done see what happens . Restore address and all your messages do not restore service books . Because the service books were already sent. Let's see what happens
