Hey guys. I am on a student plan for my BB 8330 which has unlimited social networking BUT no data. I was wondering if there are any applications that dont require a data plan.

Yes, literally hundreds of applications which don't require a data plan.

Start with games: Blackjack, solitaire, bubble popper, etc.
Task management applications, file manager apps, and on and on.

Can you give me the names of a few non-game applications that you think can be useful?

"Useful" for what? For example, to me, MeterBerry and BBFileScout are "useful" applications, but they may not be useful to you.
