Default BES push of Blackberry OS Software Upgrde

Please Login to Remove!

Is there a way to push this upgrade through my BES server? I only get the Wireline option when I attempt it.

Thanks

I don't think it is yet possible to push an OS upgrade through BES -- It's such a major upgrade with lots of data, that it is not possible with current BES.

The BB OS is completely removed and remplaced during an upgrade. It is not possible to do OTA.

For any upgrade of the HH software you would need to have the HH connected to BES or PC as "southwestcomm" stated the OS is removed along with the radio software.... The OTA option for handheld software reload will probably never be an option.

Wirelessly posted (8700c: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

I think someone needs to let RIM know this because I've been told before handheld firmware can be upgraded OTA from the BES after 4.0. I do agree it doesn't seem like it makes since, but I have heard it is possible from more than one source. Perhaps I misunderstood them.
