Help with public folder address book Hi I've got a customer who has an address book stored in their Public Folders within exchange. This address book basically contains all of their clients & customers and is updated probably at least 6 times a day, from 3 different sites (all exchange AD linked). I know you cant wirelessly sync public folders as they're not part of the mailbox, but they want this address book on their Blackberrys & i cant think of any way of getting it onto them. Putting the desktop software on the PCs isn't an option as the devices wont ever be in one of their offices to dock & sync the address book. I'd thought about importing it into their own personal contacts in outlook but again its not feasable due to the frequency of updates to the address book & the fact there's 10 units. Does anybody know a way around this? I'm sure i'm not alone in this query, somebody else must have had the same problem. |
Yes you are right. I am somebody else and I have the same problem. Our current solution is teaching the users how to manually copy and paste from the public addr book to a subfolder of contacts in their mailbox. Then it will wirelessly sync over to their BB. This solution does suck to say the least and I believe there is an app I saw once from msft or a third party that will automatically keep a public folder sync'd with a users local one. When I find that app I'll let you know cause that would be the only real solution here. |
I found this link on slipstick to an application that might do what your looking for. http://www.diditbetter.com/Solutions...e/overview.asp |
