Default T-Mobile 4.0 Upgrade for 7230 Handheld - 01-07-2005, 10:40 AM

Anyone have the scoop on when T-Mobile is going release and "bless" this? I understand that it may be possible to upgrade to 4.0 using the 4.0 upgrades of other companies (e.g., AT&T) who have released 4.0, but am wondering when T-Mobile will finish its testing and release it on its own site: http://software.se.t-mobile.com/

They are testing 4.0 (except for the 7100t) as we speak. I was told later this month.

I have a TMO 7730 and upgraded to 4.0 through AT&T. Works great, no problems.

What does it mean when T-Mobile says that it is still "testing"? Will it actually be requesting or changing code/settings in the OS (e.g., would T-Mobile 4.0 be any different form AT&T 4.0), or would it be changing its own network environment to accomodate new functionality in the OS?
