| update ...Just to update everyone on what we found after some additional research.. It appears that since our desktops are connected to exchange and our BES through a vpn tunnel, the server is considered to be in an untrusted domain. (Pardon the accuracy of the lingo- I am a desktop/client end support person by trade, servers and connectivity are not my forte)
Anyhow, as long as we log into Outlook prior to the desktop manager, we authenticate without error and the message / mapi profile and email address are properly recognized on the advanced tab of desktop redirector. IF we log into desktop manager first, the workaround is to set it to prompt for which mapi profile to use and this seems to give it enough information thus allowing just a single password entry.
It appears that the newer desktop clients use active directory and do not authenticate as did the older clients such as 4.0.0.3. This version works fine. We tried 401 amd 41 and both produce the same results as above.
Does anyone have a better workaround? Thanks in advance! |
