Default redirector software (cing 8700c) desktop 4.1

Please Login to Remove!

Everyone,

Hope all is well.

Looking for some help here. My work admin copied the contents of the blackberry cd onto my desktop at work (no cd drives @ the office) - everythign installed just fine.

One thing that i am missing is the desktop redirector software. I am not seeing it in any of my options or settings. I have the root folder on my desktop and dont see anything about the redirector software.

Does anyone have the latest desktop redirector software available to download?

Didn't find it on RIM's site nor did i find it on a few google searches.

This would be most appreciated...

Many thanks,
dolo

It's not packaged as a separate app, but is included as part of the desktop software installation. As you install, you are offered two routes: the BES/redirector package, or the standard BIS package w/o the redirector. Maybe you can try installing again?

WNO,

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

I downloaded the desktop manager v4.1 from the site - installed it but never saw this option appear.

I presume I should uninstall and reinstall again.

Other then the redirector software, am I missing something going the redirector route vs. the standard BIS package?

Thanks again,
dolo

Youll be missing the Redirector package when you go the standard BIS route.

Thx BBTech.

I am getting my msgs in ~5 min with the standard BIS/BWC setup - this is acceptable for my current needs.

THanks agian,
