Default Nice Ad, Hedgge - 01-08-2005, 02:11 PM

Nice advertisement, let me guess...Hedgge is actually the author of this program?

And I would pay $7 for a program that adds what value?

I find this post annoying. I think you should be an active member of a forum before trying to sell your stuff.

Besides the fact that this is a shameless advertisement... shouldn't it at the very least have gone into aftermarket software... this isn't RIM software.

I'll second stonent, this post is annoying.

I'll give credit where credit is due -- it's third party software for the Blackberry.. we really need more, although this is a good idea it's not something i'd pay for, but the developer might have other ideas and this is a good start.. remember, a lot of developers are jumping on the RIM bandwagon right now -- and welcome! Keep coming, we need good software and i have a wallet willing to pay for stuff i find useful..

secondly, advertising or not, this is the largest blackberry form and where else are you going to advertise your product? There are no other places except this site as far as i can tell..

there is one other forum but blackberries are an afterthought and it's not all that popular compared to this place..

I'll agree that the software isn't a bad idea (we use similar software at work as it's easier to tell a client to click an icon than how to find the info), and I can see your point on advertising here making some sense... but two things bother me:

1) It's the users first post -- in itself not to bad but it leads to #2
2) If the user were familiar with the site he may have thought to put it into Aftermarket Software (Buy Sell Trade), where it would atleast belong.

but who knows, maybe I'm just crazy.

I'm sure the site owner would be more than happy to sell banner ad space to him.
