Default Intellisync and Public Calendar Folder - Timeout!

I am enjoying my new Blackberry 8700c very much, save for one small issue.

Although I can synchronize all my PIM data with Outlook, Intellisync times out when syncing a public calendar folder with 5,091 items (I work in a busy law firm.) Intellisync reads 2,052 records and then offers an error message.

Is there a way to increase the timeout value so it reads all of the records and ultimately syncs?

Well first of all you stated that it is a busy law firm.... what is your connection between you desktop PC / Laptop to the exchange server? Chances are that it is high and your trying to transfer too much data. A work around would be to create a Personal Folder copy the Public Calendar and then sync with that.
