Default Connecting to the PC

Please Login to Remove!

I just bought a 7100g and i was trying to connect it to the pc, i installed teh software that came with the cd but when i hook the phone upto the usb cable the drivers are nowhere to be found, i've tried installing the drivers from the cd and everywhere but it says it cant find them... so now i just have an unknown device called "rim handheld" connected, i opened up the desktop manager when the phone was connected and it still says disconnected... i was wondering where i could find some drivers for the 7100g...

i am running a 64bit processor, i dont know if that will effect the driver status or not..

Uninstall the software. Then go to http://www.rim.com/ and install the software from there. If that doesn't work we'll have to try something else. Good luck.

Make sure that the USB is not connected via a HUB. It has to be connected directly to a port on the computer not through a HUB.
