Default SMS syncronization

Please Login to Remove!

Hello everybody,

my boss ask me to syncronize the Blackbarry SMS in his laptop.
I have tried with desktop manager software, but It's impossible!

Someone of you can suggest me some other way?

Thank you

Id like to know the same as well. Some way to back up the SMSes to some place on the PC. Outlook or non outlook location (DB, Spreadsheet, Excel or CSV) should be alright.

1. Connect your device to your computer.
2. Open the Desktop Manager.
3. Double-click the Backup and Restore icon.
4. Click Advanced.
5. If your device is locked, type your password. Click OK.
6. In the Device Databases section, select the database(s) to back up.
7. Click .
8. On the File menu, click Save As.
9. Type a name and select a location for your backup file.
10. Click Save.

Baldric.. not that..

How do I save the SMS /text messages not the e-mails.. to a location where I can see them, delete them off the phone.

Say for instance, I have 100 text/sms messages in my BB. Now, I never do E-mail Reonciliation since I havent used my BB for e-mail yet. Mostly PIM functions. But, I do use a lot of text messaging.. and I have lots on the phone. So out of these 100 messages if I want to save all 100 to the computer in a place where I can read them later.. and maybe leave around 15-20 on the BB (for now).. how do I do that?

HI,

I know of no way to sync SMS msgs outside of the BB at the moment, but if you want to save some SMS msgs you can save them to the saved msgs folder on the BB itself. Just highlight the SMS msg, then wheel-click>save>wheel-click. Would that do it for you?

Desktop Manager will back up all device data. It will also sync any PIM data with selected email clients. As for being able to open SMS info that forms part of a .pst backup, that's not possible - just not what it's designed for.

I just want to be able to backup 100+ SMSes somewhere besides my phone. Basically on to the PC. Whether into outlook or a database file or a spreadsheet and look through it if I ever need to.
Is that possible?
