I just upgraded my 7290 to firmware version 4.0.2.49 (platform 1.8.0.142). I use BES through my work. Just after upgrading, I was deleting all prior messages on my handheld and during the operation it appeared as if a new message was received (at least I had a notification that one was received via the little envelope at the top left hand corner). I never did see a message and I have since then not been able to clear the little envelop and the number one next to it. I still receive emails through BES and via internet email accounts and the notification counter increments and decrements as I read messages, however I can never get the new message notification to clear and it always appears that there is one message when there is not.

Is this a problem with my BES account? Is there a way to clear this on the handheld?

I tried the suggestion on the other thread, "cannot clear unread messages - 1 message remains", but no help. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
