Unhappy Sync problem - No one Has the answer. Too Tuff for bb FORUM

Please Login to Remove!

I have 2 bb, 7280 works great, just bought a 7290. It will not sync using intellisync. Goes thru the steps then ends without transferring any data. No warning or error msgs come up.The 7280 syncs everytime with no problem. I've gone thru the 7290 settings but cant figure what may be wrong. I also updated the latest bb handheld and desktop software. No change. 1 works, other wont. I can add/remove apps using DM just cant sync. Any suggestions

Check the PIM settings and make sure they are all checked.

Are you trying to transfer everything? The best bet would be to run a backup on your 7280 and restore it to your 7290. That's how I do stuff here.

I tried that (backup), when i go to advanced settings, the calendar and address book are grayed out and cant be moved over to the handheld. If I just click restore. MS outlook data isnt on the list of items to restore.
Could the back-up data from the 7280 NOT be compatible with the 7290.

I have searched multiple threads, none with this problem. I maybe a BB newbie but I have a very good concept of settings and have multiple trial and error changes no luck.
