Hi we have a number of blackberry 7290's and 7100v's all running off our BES, one of the units will not send mail (7290)

When you send a mail it just has a red cross next to it in the inbox.

Obviously this means it hasnt sent but I was wondering if anyone could give me some more help into what the error could be?

What version BES? I am guesing that you need to generate a new encryption key. Connect to Desktop Manager, go to Security and generate a new key.

That should do it!

Yes, your BES Admin should be able to do it remotely.

Thanks very much I generated a new security key in BES and the handheld now seems to be behaving itself!

Obviously an encryption key mismatch all this time, well spotted!!!

Excellent - I don't recall the circumstances which cause the key to expire, but it does happen (the key concept is "can receive but not send"). Glad it worked (and welcome to the boards)!
