Default Newbie---help! [how do I make screensaver work?] - 01-16-2005, 09:43 PM

OMG - Am I crazy or does the help info on the phone itself as well as user guide say that the 7100t's os 3.8 can run a screensaver - and gives directions to do so. Well, not so for me at least. It seems once I'm into "Screen/Keyboad" I don't have the "Standby Screen" option - therefore I can't enable it. I WANT A SCREENSAVER!!!! Support told me they "think" I need version 4.0 - others tell me no. Help! Also can't open attachments - these are ones from Terratial. I tried to download ScreenEngager Live........Not working - of course. Did I make a mistake w/Blackberry. It's slow as molasses to boot. Maybe, quite possibly I did something to it.
Sorry for rambling - I'm about to throw it in the street. Thanks in advance for any and all advice...............

Hi,

Did you save an image through your web browser yet? You need to do this before you can use it as a screensaver.

Set the screensaver by going to the Image viewer icon, and selecting an image you've saved from your web browser.

Thanks,
Mark Rejhon

Thanks for your input. I looked for an image viewer icon - do you mean on the rim or website - I tried your suggestion, however I had no option to take it from my email to pictures. I'm going crazy. After about 3 1/2 hours w/ tech support last night - escalated to level 3 - they determined I had a bad phone and said to take it back to store for new one. They also said the reason I don't have a "Standby Screen" option is because that is only available w/ 4.0 and they don't support it yet - so they said absolutely no way could I have a screensaver. Right. anyone out there knw of a site where I can get an update???? Thanks mucho!
