USB Tethering without openning Blackberry Desktop Manager

Currently I'm using the +cgdcont=1,"IP","WAP.CINGULAR" method of getting tethering on the BB. Is there a way to tether the laptop using the BBDM to get it to recognize the BB as a Modem?

Re: USB Tethering without openning Blackberry Desktop Manager

1. U can create a bluetooth connection. And when you use the connection 2nd time around you won't need to start BBDM.
2. U can 1st run the "??DiviceMgr.exe??" with a "/Server" parameter. Then when its running and showing in task bar just like when BBDM is running you can then use the same BBDM connection to tether with your usb cable without running the BBDM. I can't remember the proper application name "??DiviceMgr.exe??" it shows in taskbar when BBDM is running.

1. ...
2. You can 1st run "RIMDeviceManager.exe /RunServer". N.B. Its important to add the " /
RunServer" parameter so that it shows in the task bar just like when BBDM is running. Then use the same named BBDM connection to tether with your usb cable without running the BBDM.
Sorry in my above post I didn't have the correct wording.
