Default App World - Can't update..." App is not available from BB App World"

I've upgraded to OS6 on my 9700...works great. Today I noticed some upgrades available on App World and attempted to download them. The first one went OK, but the other two gave me a message saying " (the app) is not available for download from Blackberry App World." [note that the first app was a freebie...the other two were pay apps].

This problem happened to me before [possibly after an OS upgrade...don't remember...] and I fixed it by creating a new BB ID with all the same info as my original. [The story is recounted in This thread ]

This time I can't...it tells me there is already an account under my email address. I suppose I could create a new ID under a different email addy...but I don't have many of these and what happens when I run out?

Can anybody tell me what the heck is going on here? Has anybody else experienced the same thing?

Update -- It appears that I can download FREE app updates [that is, updates for FREE apps...] but I can't update PAID apps. All this suggests to me that there is some kind of problem with connecting my PayPal account to App World.

Is anybody else ON THE BELL CANADA network having similar problems?

IS anybody NOT on the Bell Canada network having these problems? I'd really like to track this down...

Fabulous -- an update of AppWorld seems to have fixed this. I suppose I should be more appreciative, but I sure wish RIM could be more forthcoming with news of bugs encountered and planned fixes...
