I have a 7290 with OS 4.1 on Cingular BIS. Last night I noticed this new icon! Now, the BIS settings can be maintained from the device itself and the desktop.

Does this mean the Cingular is moving closer to the BIS service that T-Mobile has?

I'd like to hear your thoughts.

That just means you are provisioned for BES on the Blackberry Provisioning Server, rest depends on your carrier what they offer.

Not true. Cingular DOES have a new service that is comparable to T-Mobile. Even craftier really. It lets you manage your BIS settings from the handheld.
