I can't seem to get the bb-today application to save any of my changes. There are no messages, it doesn't change. Will a remove/re-install work? I have a 7290 running 4.0.??, via cingular.

i have the same problem

Sometimes if I back out of a setting using the escape key and get prompted to save, discard, or cancel, and I choose to save, the setting is not kept, but if I click the scroll wheel and choose save before I hit the escape key, I do not get prompted and the setting is retained. See if saving before exiting works for you.

I have to do the same thing on my 7100i - backing out and saving doesn't work.
