PLEASE HELP - Desktop Software Problem I recently replaced a dead hard drive on my laptop. I downloaded the Desktop Manager software from RIM website and installed it on my laptop. When I try to open the software I get a "BlackBerry Desktop Software has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." message. The Error Signature reads: AppName: rim.desktop.exe AppVer: 6.1.0.35 AppStamp:4dee095a ModName: kernel32.dll ModVer: 5.1.2600.5781 ModStamp:49c4f482 fDebug: 0 Offset: 00012afb What's wrong and how can I fix this? Thank you. |
Re: PLEASE HELP - Desktop Software Problem delete and do a clean install and see if that will fix it. Might try an earlier version if one is there. |

Re: PLEASE HELP - Desktop Software Problem If that doesn't work you may have to uninstall and use a registry cleaner to get the traces of the old software out. |
