Could anyone out there provide us some guidance? We're a tiny company with no funds to invest in a BES. We currently have Exchange server accounts hosted by our ISP, and we are thinking about getting BB's but aren't sure we can get them to work with the ES without the BES. I've seen something about BB desktop redirector - does this come with the BB unit itself or is it a standalone software purchase?

Is the redirector going to work with our existing exchange server and stay synched reliably, or are we asking for alot of headaches trying to do this?

It comes along but as I have said many times redirector is really a last resort utility. I am not on BES and get my corporate email almost instantly by forwrding all my mail(including personal) to a gmail account and reforwarding that to the BB email. It works flawlessly, one draw back is the lack of wireless synch but you can do USB synch though it is not pushed. A small price to pay for a small company that cannot afford a BES to start with.

Thanks, but the key to this is the Exchange. Will Redirector play nice with the existing Exchange - if so this is definitely the way we want to go. We're test driving Treo's right now and in my opinion they suck in a number of ways, but that's for a different forum. Also now that I think of it, what is the general opinion of how the court case is going to affect general usage and cost?
