Default BB 7290, wont connect to a docking station - but will the laptop directly- ahhh

Hi,

I have a Dell D600 with docking station, along with a Blackberry 7290.

If I connect the BB to the laptop - fine. Desktop manager sees the connection and all is ok.

Hook laptop upto docking station, connect BB to the USB port on the docking station and I then keep hearing the ping of the connection dropping from the USB device. The desktop software wont/cannot get a firm connection.

Now, changed docking station, fault follows. I know others have had this issue and so far no joy.

Also note the usb ports on the docking station tested with a USB mouse and a ipod, and they all have firm connections. Also ruled out cables.

Any ideas?

Scott
