Default OS 4.1 for 7290

Does anyone know when OS 4.1 will be released for the 7290? I am looking forward to installing it but don't seem to find any release dates on Blackberry.com of Blackberryforms.com. Any insight will be much appreciated. Thanks.

You'd have to contact your carrier. It's been released to them but when 'they' release it is another question entirely.

Handheld software is proprietary so you won't find handheld code on a RIM website.

It's been floating around for a while... I know several people running it. I'm waiting for T-mobile to release it, but it appear that BT sync is the big feature.

As was posted earlier, there is a sticky thread for all vendors download site.

BlackBerryOS 4.x Download FAQ - UPGRADE DOWNLOADS

Check under Hong Kong CSL for the latest 7290 code, or wait for your vendor to supply code specifically.

yeah, i believe it was the Hong Kong CSL version. at first it removed my IM application (using the a T-Mobile 7290) but after a second attempt it worked great.
