Default Blackberry 7290 Infrared Sync Outlook

I have the blackberry 7290 with T-Mobile. Is it possible to sync the blackberry wirelessly via infrared to my laptop? I used to do this w/my pocket pc. Want to know If could do that here.

no. With OS 4.1 you can use Bluetooth to sync though. Requires a MICROSOFT bluetooth driver compatible bluetooth adaptor on your PC/laptop.

why not just connect the USB cable though? it's not that much extra..
