Default BB Desktop Manager stuck on "Working"

Please Login to Remove!

BB desktop manager stuck on "working" on an IBM Thinkpad T40.
The BB will synch with other computers around,
I have uninstalled and re-installed Desktop 4.1 software.

Could another device software (canon, ipod) be getting in the way and hogging USB port resources?

try different USB port, try to completly uninstall Desktop Manager then re-install it, make sure all the PIM configuration settings are correct and the software is pointing to correct application for things like email, address, etc.

Try to uncheck Automatic Sync when device is connected option if it's already checked, that should help you troubleshoot the issue.

I had this problem before. After uninstalling the desktop software from Add/Remove Programs, you have to manually delete some registry entries and some folders off the hard drive. There is a post at http://www.blackberryforums.net/showthread.php?t=25937 about it.
