I have a 7250 BB and I have downloaded 4.6/4.7/7.1 of desktop Manager. Currently, I have 4.6 installed with 4.1 BB OS installed. I have a Vista Home premium laptop. My laptop does not recognize my bb in desktop manager. What should i do to get it to recognize my device on Vista Operating systems. I have installed Desktop Manager using a clean install instructions.

First, make sure you're connecting your USB cord directly to the pc - no USB hub.

Vista was notorious for losing connectivity to peripherals like phones. You can try a different USB port on the pc. Best to do this while Desktop Manager is running. Another trick is to connect the BlackBerry, start Desktop Manager, and then do a battery pull on the BlackBerry while connected.

Finally, perhaps try another version of Desktop Manager.
