Default AIM on T mobile

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

I just got a blackberry 7290.. I first tried ramble Im for AIM.. and then i later discovered that I can download an instant messenger program on the T mobile website,.. but I don;t know if the messages on T moble's are SMS based or data based? and if I will be charged for each message I send or receive with T mobile? This is according to their site:

"Will I be billed for the time period I'm signed on to the AOL® Instant Messenger™ Service (AIM®)?

No, you will not be charged for the time period you are signed on to AIM®. There is no charge by AOL® to use AIM®. You will be billed according to the number of messages and command functions you send and receive."

kind of a confusing or perhaps a misleading answer if you ask me..
I like ramble better anyway but if I want to contact someone on yahoo.. msn or whatever,. i don't want to be charged.. i know there is verichat.. i am considering it but i don't talk to people enough on other networks to pay for it..

Ramble uses GPRS and is covered under your data plan. I keep my 7100t logged into ramble pretty much 24/7.

The TMobile messenger uses sms to send/recieve so you will be charged for every message.... They say you wont be charged for the time period since it's not using gprs; (though why they mention this is beyond me, since you get unlimited data anyway) but that you will be billed for the number of messages since those are going trough sms.
