Default Capital W becomes a Capital N

Hi all, I have a very strange thing that is happening on my client's computer. When sending emails, anytime he types in a W, it becomes an N. Note that this only happens for capital W's; the lowercase w's are fine.

No clue why it's happening. I'll be stopping by to further look at this in person on Tuesday. Any tips or advice before then that I can test out would be greatly appreciated.

The only thing I can think of is to check autotext and see if he inadvertently made an entry to change a W to an N. If it happens just when he types W followed by a space, that's probably it.

Hi Michael, thanks for the advice. I will definitely look into that. Just some extra info: it's a Blackberry 7230 and the service provider is T-Mobile.

Hi. I have a BB Nextel 7520 and while accessing the internet sometimes as well as entering names in the address book, I will have the same thing happen to me as well. I thought I was going nutz. Nice to know I'm not alone. Hasn't happened since I dnloaded 4.1 OS. We'll see if that changes. Maybe that fixed it. What OS are you using?

I think this happens in some fonts with a bold capital W. The letter is still encoded as a W, but looks like an N. You can tell the difference by a white dot that appears at the top left of the bold W-that-looks-like-N. A real bold N does not have that white dot.

Yup, this is exactly what it was. The bold capital W just looks like a capital N. The client said he'll consider turning off the bold text. Thanks again everyone for the help!!!!!
