Default 7230 3.7 os upgrade - vibrate inop - 01-29-2005, 03:23 AM

I was so happy when my beloved 7230 upload of 3.7 went as planned with nothing lost but a few minutes of my time.
However after going through most all of the senario's I discovered that the VIB is INOP. Can anyone relate or help?
I have already done a hard reset since.

Have you tried configuring your alert profiles?

When editing a Profile, and changing an alert, And when you change the selection bar between "Tone" and "Vibrate", does your BlackBerry vibrate?

If not, then something's wrong.
If yes, then it's probably simply misconfigured.

Let me know;

Thanks,
Mark Rejhon

Thank you for your reply Mark. You are right something is wrong. I have had my 7230 over a year and only the hour prior to the 3.7 install the vib worked fine.

What version of 3.7 did you upgrade to?
3.7.1.37?
3.7.1.41?
3.7.1.91?
3.7.1.115?
etc.
(See Options->About on BlackBerry)

I think it's time to install a different operating system.
I bet it will fix your proboems.

This is because there are so many different versions of 3.7. SOme of them are buggy. If you want the best version of 3.7, I highly recommend Cingular's 3.7.1.115 which is newest (115 is bigger than 37 and 41):

Select the 7280 device. The 7230/7280 software is the same.

If you have always been interested in trying instant messaging (VeriChat MSN/ICQ/AIM), it is time to upgrade to BlackBerryOS 4

.41 - does T-mobile have a newer version? Can I retreve one from RIM? I prefer to stay with my provider for support issues although you are doing a great job.
