OK so i just recently bought the blackberry 7230 for my T-mobile plan. I have the family Plan.
Now i have loaded both VeriChat and Web. Messenger 2.2 trial versions.
I have tried everything to get them to work, but for some reason it wont work.
In VeriChat i get an error that "Could Not Find a service book entry for IPPP"
And in web mess. i get an error that i " can't establish the connection"
I am not sure what i am suppose to do, am i suppose to unlock the wap feature or am i suppose to get something for wap, before trying these softwares?

i have just recently bought the BB, so i am a noob @ this.
Any steps will be helpful!!!

1. Upgrade to BlackBerryOS 4
(I suggest the Vodafone 4.0.0.188 for your T-Mobile, it's the newest version)

2. Make sure you set up your Options->TCP->APN on your BlackBerry.
APN: wap.voicestream.com
Username: (Your T-Mobile username)
Password: (Your T-Mobile password)

also wanted to say i am in US, does it make a diff to get that UK software

what do u mean by that, u mean when i go to t-mobile.com u make that acct with ur phone # and stuff, or its a service u have to get with a blackberry?

To answer your questions:
T-Mobile does not yet have BlackBerryOS4...
BlackBerryOS4 is necessary for Verichat...
Vodafone BlackBerryOS4 will work on T-Mobile...

As for the T-Mobile username/password, it's just your existing account for your cellphone at the TMobile website. (Or was that for the T-Mobile BWC website? Not sure. But it's definitely one of your existing T-Mobile account username/passwords.)

so if i try Vodafone right now it should work? without loading the OS4 b/c the OS4 for t-mobile isnt out yet. right?

Also u guys are saying that go to OPTION ---->TCP
i dont have the TCP option in my OPTION section, do i need to unlock the BB?

I tried to get that OS4 on the BB, but it didnt work, i have upgraded it to 3.7.141, but i still cant get vri or webmess. 2 work.
is there any other software that i can try, maybe liek web mess 2.0.
i cant find 2.0 anywhere.
can any1 help me with that

Let me confirm that this works. I downloaded and installed OS 4.0
I set the options to wap.voicestream.com
The username was the one used on my.tmobile.com, which ends up being my mobile number.
The password is the password I used when I created an account on that site.
I was able to SSH after setting that up.

3.7.1.41 will not work with WebMessenger or VeriChat.

You need BlackBerryOS 4.0.0.xxx installed on your BlackBerry.

ok i am redownloading the OS4 and have deleted the vendor.xml about to put OS4 on the BB, lets see what happs.

sucess that new software is on ther, it looks sort of diff. but hey

i am going to put the softwares on it in a min. lets see what apps.

EDIT: now that i try to upload verichat and web mess. it says this software is not made for this handheld?

OK now that i got the softwares on there, its still giving me the same errors?

What is the error messages you are getting, in exact wording?

Which T-Mobile plan are you on?

Did you set APN to "wap.voicestream.com"?
