Hi all,

I'm hoping someone out there can help me with this. I have Desktop Manager installed on a W2K machine with Outlook 2k3. Recently, I can no longer sync my 7750. It can reconcile the mail, then it starts to read the calendar entries -- once it completes reading, it starts processing; the desktop software crashes as soon as it starts processing the first record.

I have completely uninstalled all BB software from the machine (including the registry) and re-installed Outlook but no freakin' luck!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Inside this folder C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Intellisync delete the following two folders:
[PINBB]
[PINBB.CFG]

Which version of Desktop Manager are you using?

I believe it's 3.6

I am completely re-installing office now to see if it makes a difference (last time, I re-ran the install and said "repair" -- maybe a complete re-install will be better?).

For O2K3 you should have running at least version 3.6.2.9

Just finished re-installing everything and same sh*t!!!
Now I get a memory reference error and then the app crashes.

It is version 3.6.2.9
handheld is v. 3.7.1.36

Not sure this will help, but it seems that the sometimes the PST file thats linked with redirector can cause it to crash. I had a similar problem and had to run scanpst.exe to get the redirector to stay running. Hope it helps

1. Make sure you are running the latest version (SP3) of the Desktop Manager. (Try Synching before you continue and see if this solves it)

2. Try moving the PST file to a "backup" location so that it is not available.

3. Open Outlook and create a single dummy entry.

4. See if synch works now. If so you can import the pst using the import/export wizard to get the data back and avoid pst corruption.

5. Synch again. Now all your data should be there.

Try creating a new AMPI mail profile for Desktop manager to use. we have a few add-ins to Outlook at my company and these caused the desktop manager to crash. Creating a basic MAPI profile fixed it
