Default BB Desktop Question

Please Login to Remove!

When I compose an email, I can switch my email address to my gmail or my tmo.blackberry.net or the choice desktop. What is the choice desktop for? I can't use redirector because I don't use exchange. What is this desktop option for?

The desktop item will be taken away at some point. I believe they kept it for emails received before the upgrade to BIS 2.0
