I have a T-Mo 7290 Running v4.1.0.309. I recently had the multiple inbox icons appear (did a resend of service books) and I have found an interesting bug. I am wondering if anyone else is having this issue and if there is a fix for it.
Whenever I read a message in the main message listing the inbox that the message corresponds to shows a negative number for unread e-mails. (see attachment for screenshot) While this doesn't really effect the performance of the device, it sure is annoying to see.
I know I could just read from the proper inbox or hide the inboxes and just use the main message list, but that really isn't a fix.
Also, does RIM have any way for the public to submit bug reports?
Iv sean someone with this somewhere else earlier today, they had -2 if that helps you find there posting. Think they had to do a soft reset to clear it.
So far the only thing that will clear it is pulling the battery. Again, it's far from the end of the world, just annoying. Maybe I can use this as a way to rationalize in my mind buying an 8700g hah.
Does anyone have a soft message tool since the only thing that seems to work is s soft reset. I just don't want to keep on taking out the battery just to do a soft reset. Thanks!!!
Having the same problem with my 7100T from T-mobile after I upgraded to 4.1.0.309 a few days ago. The only thing that seems to reset it to the correct unread count is a reset (removing the battery). This seems to be an issue with the new version and it's pretty anoying. Any idea on when this will be fixed?
I am seeing the same problem. I thought I started to see this issue after upgrading to the Telstra O/S but more likely an issue introduced with BIS 2.0 and multiple mailboxes.
