Is there a way to get BIS to poll an account more frequently? I forward some more critical personal emails as they land in my inbox as well as having BIS poll the account (so I end up with multiple copies of the same email on my device) but this also introduces the interesting phenomenon of being able to see how often BIS polls. Which can range from a few minutes to more than 30 minutes.

I know that BIS "intelligently" polls more often as activity increases but 30 minutes? Come on! So, is there a way to set BIS poll intervals? Incidentally, my carrier is TMO USA.

Sorry. There are no user settings for polling frequency. 30 minutes is quite long. My mail server logs show polls exactly every 15 minutes when there's no activity. Its possible the BIS is having problems connecting to your mail server at times.

I believe the longest I've seen are 30 minutes, I'll check the logs to confirm though.

BIS polls every fifteen minutes. I'm sure with queuing and some additional factors like a slow mail server could potentially lengthen that to 20 minutes. If you're seeing a half hour it could be because your mailbox doesn't allow concurrent connections or times out on the original connection.

This is how you set it up:

1. Forward your Gmail to
2. Click EDIT ACCOUNT -- Change the REPLY TO:

You will send/receive email instantaneous just like Blackberry Enterprise Accounts. Its great!

It sounds like DuckWingDuck is pulling email rather than using the push service,try what andrewh143 suggested.
