Default BIS 2.0 information found

I came across this today. Scroll down to about the halfway point and look under the orange colored heading "New Products." Is this a sign that Cingular is about to upgrade??? I hope so. (read the disclaimers greyed out at the bottom - check with provider for date...)

I have yet to conclude if I will like the 2.0 upgrade. Any chance that 3rd app Reply-to will be updated to integrate w/2.0?

Has any other Cingular users noticed that the BIS environment has been intermittent recently (last three days or so)? I have the website saved in my favorites folder and it will time out (I just tried it on 5.24.06 @ 8:38 AM CST). I also tried the link on Cingular website with no luck either.

Cingular BIS - https://webclient.blackberry.net/Web...ite=mycingular

Cingular BB Homepage - http://cingular.com/midtolarge/blackberry

Maybe they are working on an upgrade to BIS 2.0 or maybe not. The conspiracy theories abound!

why would you need it? the 3 accounts that i used to type in to the reply to program i actually have on my BB now. you can choose which account you want to send from and there are even seperate inboxes.

That is only on T-Mobile right now, not Cingular.

Well, they moved that post. Basically it said the poster had independent verification from an insider that June 5th was the day for the optional BIS 2.0 for Cingular upgrade. FWIW...

One hell of a crappy birthday present (June 3rd), as without folders BIS 2.0 is junk as an email management system.

Question is will Cingular charge itself extra data charges after installing it?

I hope this gets done asap.. but still people has no specific reason to go to cingular bcause of their pricing. Over the last weekend I bought two services (BB only) one from T-Mo and one from Cingular.
I went to Mexico and over there t-mo worked fine and i called cingular to cancel it. The only reason i took cingular sim with me in case t-mo does not work like last time my 7730 did not work,

The 30 day limitation on BIS 2.0 is a problem. But in another way it will be a huge improvement over auto-forwarding from Yahoo MailPlus. Aside from being free, You will have a copy on Yahoo as well as your Blackberry. You can then go to Yahoo, perhaps once a week, and file the mails into a subfolder for posterity.
On the current system, with auto-Forwarding (or even POP3), nothing is left on Yahoo. It is not an archive system.
