Default Removing RIM supplied Yahoo Messenger

Please Login to Remove!

OK, I didn't read the fine print closely enough! Installed Yahoo Messenger directly from the RIM site, and I have Cingular so it doesn't work (per the fine print.)

I've gone to Desktop Manager to try to remove the app, but it doesn't show in the application list! Any way to get rid of it, since its useless with my Cingular service?

Thanks...

Thanks, Erica, but this one appears to be a bit more persistent, unfortunately. I had already done that, and then removed the battery for a clean reboot, and after the reboot, Yahoo! is still there - the icon is there and clicking on it still brings up the login page, although its no longer in the apps list in Options>Advanced Options>Applications.

How about going one step further into the options list: Options>Advanced Options>Applications>Modules? Scroll down near the bottom...is net_rim_yahoo_messenger still there?

Yep, sure was! Deleted it, was informed it was "in use" and did I really want to delete it - when I said "yes" it instantly rebooted and now appears to be really gone - thanks!
