Default Help For New User

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I'm a very recent user of BB (6710).
I didn't have for the moment the original CD with desktop.
In my BB, I don't see the browser application ( no icon ).
It should be on the CD, no.... ?
My OS is 3.6.0.83

If I want to download desktop from the web, what should be the site adress and wich version does it need ?
If, there is no browser on the CD ( I'm expecting from sailor ), where can I found it ?

Thanks for your help.
Best regards.
Jmarc

If you're with T-Mobile, you can get the desktop and upgraded handheld software here http://software.se.t-mobile.com/
If you're with another carrier, you may want to check to see where you'll find the desktop software and upgraded handheld software. You may also search for it on www.blackberry.com as well. Your wireless carriers tech support department can tell you as well.

Do you have a data plan? No BlackBerry Data Plan no browser. Is your 6710 an 8mb or 16mb version? If it's the 8mb your probably stuck with your current OS.

I am new to the bb scene as well but I had the same issue when I got my 7290. Apparently the browser is a "carrier specific" deal and you have to call and get a blackberry data plan before your browser shows up. (Would have been nice if that info was in the instruction book)
