Default BES Alternative for Handhelds

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all,

I am trying to find an alternative to having to purchase a BES 4.1 solution for my handhelds (7250's), currently 23 on my LAN.

I will be implementing Exchange 2003 Enterprise with Clustering and was curious if any one has any proven advice on ways around having to purchase BES Enterprise and BES Small Business.

I know there is no way to do anything natively on Exchange with BB's.:(

Also any word on using multiple BES small business servers on the same LAN/Exchange server?

Thanks in advance for your advise.

For e-mail redirection, simply use the redirector in the desktop manager.

If you want full wireless syncing, you are out of luck, just buy the BES.

As far as multiple BES in the same network / domain, nope. But why would you want to do this?

On http://www.blackberry.com is an offer for BES Express for smaller businesses who don't immediately need the full BES but would like to have the functionality.

There is an option to get one for up to 15 CAL's (this can be upgraded to a full BES server in the future plus other features) or 20 users (same features as the 15 CAL package). I am not in a BES yet but I keep up with everything related to BlackBerry LOL
