I have been trying to reinstall os4.1 on my blackberry 7250 for a little while now. I have tried everything i have found on these forums and nothing seems to work. The javaloader did its job and wiped my blackberry but i cant get the os back on the blackberry. i deleted vendor.xml, pluged it back up, and started app loader and nothing happens. it does not ask me if i want to upgrade. it just goes to the normal app loader screen. any help if at all possible would be greatly appreciated.

When you get to that screen,does it list programs or blank page

In app loader it lists the apps and says 4.1 is installed (it even said this when i had the 507? error on my blackberry). I installed 4.0 and it installed and then somehow 4.1 but now i have the blank nondescript theme. Deleting vendor.xml does not seem to work for me. any help in getting it back to normal would be great

Make sure the check mark is on each item.

you cant change the checkmark beside the core files.

do another wipe...........then uninstall any of the older software versions on your computer............then reinstall the latest version of the desktop manager. <<<----this must be done before upgrading!!!!........now install 4.1 on the computer and the handheld.......LASTLY come back here and tell us what happenned.

I am a firm believer in search. Thus i searched first and already tried everything you guys have suggested plus some. I uninstalled and reinstalled about 5 times. I wasted the better part of the day messing with this. Luckily, on my last whim of hope, i plugged into my dads laptop, deleted vendor.xml, and started up app loader. It worked. I reinstalled 4.1 adn it works fine now. Thanks for all the help even though none of it turned out to be the answer to my perils. I guess i'll never know what happened or better yet didn't happen.Thanks again guys.
