Red face Missing several applications after usb wipe

Please Login to Remove!

I just installed the 4.1.0 Cingular software on my BB after a javaloader usb wipe and have restored from a backup.

Now I know I need to reinstall my 3rd party apps such as WebMessenger, Noah Bible, BlackBerry Tools (BBLight etc), Google Maps Mobile and games however how do I get back simple built-in programs such as Tasks, Memos, Password Keeper etc?

FYI I previously had OS 4.0.2 and tried upgrading to 4.1.0 but it messed up my Pictures icon, I think because I had that themes pack installed. I was able to get the aforementioned apps on my BB however there were no passwords in my Password Keeper, do they even get backed up?

Right now I only have the following icons (I have "Show All" enabled) Phone, Msgs, AddrBk, Calndr, Alrm, Calc, Pics, Profiles, BT, Radio, Wrench, Pwr, Search, Lock and Ent. Act. (shorthanded here.)

In the App Loader I have BB 4.1 Sys. Soft, Core Apps, Phone, TTY support.

FYI I wiped everything out of this screen manually before or after the wipe as well...

BB 7290
OS 7290E_PBr4.1.0_rel314_PL1.8.0.144_A4.1.0.292_Cingu lar.exe
Desktop 41112dtENG.exe

Restart application loader. Make sure all of the correct check boxes are ticked off.

After I read a few posts on similar issues I re-installed my BB Desktop app on the computer and it asked for a reboot. Are you suggesting I perform that reboot? I'm logged in at work so I need to wait 10 more minutes. I have already closed out of the BB Desktop app and re-opened it. I only have the aforementioned checkboxes.

If it asked for a reboot, reboot.

Will try this for sure. I think I rebooted last time when going from 4.0.2 to 4.1.0 and all my apps were available in App Loader. This time I totally uninstalled both OS's from Add/Remove Programs, wiped BB and deleted everything I could from App Loader.

I figured out how to fix it; in App Loader I clicked the "Add" button and navigated to:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\7290-v4.1.0.292_P1.8.0.144

and selected all the .alx files.

Not sure why it had not automatically added all of them even after I re-installed the OS update from the .exe file. Was it because I deleted vendor.xml ?

Either way this issue is resolved and I'm adding all my 3rd party apps now. Anyone who wishes to, please feel free to add your comments to this thread.
