Has anyone tried it? I was working with RIM tech support today on a problem and he told me they have a single user license (free) available to anyone who owns an 8700. According to him it's a standalone product that will allow you all the features of a full blown BES.

search button...
(BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express)

bottom line: people are using it but it's not basic. key features appear to be RTFM and knowing how to properly configure mail servers. there's an extensive thread somewhere around here.

Thanks for the link. After reading through it there is no way I am even going to attempt it. Guess I'll stick with redirector until my company buys more BES licenses.
