Question Blackberry not sending Mail after exchange server upgrade

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
I have 13 blackberry users and none are able to send emails on there Blackberrys after an exchange server upgrade although they can receive emails ok.
Everything seems to be setup with the new exchange server but it still will not let users send messages.
I have called a Blackberry support number and they went through settings and varifed that all looked ok and they asked me to run 'handheldcleanup -u -m' command from Dos and it seems to have run successfully but still cannot send mail.
Not sure if anybody else has had an issue like this but if you have can you let me know how you resolved it.
Thanks in advance.

Have you applied the MS06-029 patch to the Exchange server. That's been causing some problems...

This patch was never applied to the new exchange server.
The new and old exchange servers were running together for the past 2 months but the old one was switched off last friday, that is when the blackberry issue started.

OK - just checking on the latest problem...
Have you tried deleting and re-adding those customers?

I have to set "blackberry permissions" on the users exchange accounts to enable them to "send" email. They are receiving just fine. Since I don't administer the exchange server - I'm not sure what is done BUT after installing the latest patch this is another step I must go through (a step of requesting appropriate permissions are granted each BES user)

I could ask the exchange folks if you still haven't figured out your problem. I do know that they don't want to do it "user-wide" since according to them - it creates "holes". So it is done on a user by user basis.
