By mistake I connected my 8700g blackberry to my laptop while installation of blackberry desktop software was going on. Now the desktop manager doesnt recognize my blackberry when connected to the laptop. I tried, uninstalling and reinstalling the destop device manager several times. No use. Still my laptop doesn't recognize my blackberry. Error message doesn't have any useful information. The hardware device manager shows that blackberry has been installed properly.

Please let me know a solution for this problem

Did you try having windows look for the device? Windows has to install a driver before it will recognize the BB.
